A Little Help Can Make A Big Change

Dattatatvam (दत्ततत्त्वम्) is the essence or philosophy of Lord Dattatreya—the realization of the divine unity behind creation, preservation, and dissolution.

It reflects the non-dual (Advaita) knowledge that the entire universe is one with the Supreme Being. In simpler terms:

Datta” means the "Given" or "Gifted One" — symbolizing divine grace freely given to the devotee.
Tatvam” means the "principle" or "essence."

So, Dattatatvam is the realization that the Supreme Being (Datta) is present in everything—beyond forms and rituals.

Goshalas play a vital role in protecting cows from slaughter, promoting animal welfare, and preserving indigenous cow breeds. They also align with spiritual and ecological values in many Indian traditions.

It is a spiritual, global, non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the divine teachings, life, and mission of Sri Pada Sri Vallabha, the first incarnation of Lord Dattatreya in Kali Yuga.

  • It is believed that Brahma chose this forest as the ideal place for conducting spiritual sacrifices (yagnas).

  • Many rishis and sages, including Sage Suta, narrated sacred texts here.

  • It’s considered one of the Divya Desams, a group of 108 Vishnu temples revered by the Alwars.
